Charlotte’s Journey: Strength, Confidence and Performance with UFIT

 Charlotte’s five-year journey with UFIT Singapore is a powerful example of how consistent training and the right coaching approach can transform not just physical fitness, but confidence and mindset too. 

 “It’s been a journey of self-confidence, strength, and really believing in what my body can do,” she says. “I’m definitely fitter now, both mentally and physically, than I was five years ago.” 

When Charlotte first began personal training in Singapore with coach Terri, the focus was simple: build a strong foundation. Rather than chasing quick results, the early stages centred on learning proper strength training technique, mastering movements like the squat, deadlift and bench press.

Over time, those fundamentals became the backbone of her training and the exercises she now enjoys the most.

From Non-Runner to HYROX Athlete

As Charlotte’s strength and fitness improved, she began setting bigger performance goals. During the COVID period, she went from barely being able to run two kilometres consistently to completing a half marathon.

That milestone opened the door to even bigger challenges. Charlotte later stepped into the world of HYROX, the global fitness race combining endurance and functional training. Since then, she has completed four HYROX events across Asia,a huge leap from where she started.

A Shift in Mindset

One of the most important parts of Charlotte’s journey was moving away from focusing on the number on the scale.

From the beginning, her coaching at UFIT Singapore prioritised strength, performance and long-term health rather than weight loss metrics. By shifting the focus to what her body could do, Charlotte developed a much healthier relationship with training and body image.

Stronger Than Ever at 40

Now at 40, Charlotte is in the best shape of her life. Her strength milestones reflect years of consistent training:

  • Deadlift: 112kg
  • Squat: Nearly 80kg
  • Pull-Ups: From zero to 4–5 reps

One of her earliest goals was simply to achieve a single pull-up, something she can now perform regularly.

 The Power of Coaching and Consistency 

Charlotte’s journey highlights the impact of expert coaching and a strong coach-client partnership. Over five years, she and Terri have built a collaborative approach to training, focusing on sustainable progress, performance goals and long-term health.

Her story reflects what UFIT Singapore aims to achieve with every client: helping people build strength, confidence and a lifelong relationship with fitness.
