Zanariyah once struggled to find a job because of her mild intellectual disability. Now, she works independently after completing her training in the YMCA of Singapore’s hospitality department. She also participates in their arts, crafts, performances, and volunteer work programmes, which develop her independence, communication and social skills.

The YMCA hopes to empower more youths just like her. At the YMCA, they challenge, champion, and train youth with special needs through programmes that develop their social, artistic and job skills.
