“I’ve always been sporty since I was little. Sports and fitness runs in my family. My big brother whom I look up to exceled at it, and my dad used to be the National Silat Champion when he was younger. I guess that’s where my athleticism and competitiveness came from. Growing up, my dad has always encouraged me to be active in sports, and motivated me to do well in them. I don't think I've had a year in my life of not doing any form of fitness...ever! To me, being fit and healthy is living a lifestyle that positively fuels me inside and out. More importantly, a lifestyle that keeps me mentally, physically, and emotionally happy.
My strength as a trainer lies in helping my clients to be aerobically fit for day-to-day activities (doesn’t matter if you’re a CrossFit athlete, or just want to move better in your everyday life), and to become more confident in their own skin. I love uncovering my clients’ hidden potential. Many of them have surprised me by how much grit they bring to training – I can see it every time they push themselves to the edge of their comfort zones. It makes me realise that everyone is on their own journey. And despite the differences in each of our paths, I can honestly relate with all of them and be inspired by their hard work and determination!”
