ABOUT

Whilst studying my Nutrition Masters degree my passion for keeping fit and healthy grew rapidly. After completing my degree I started working for a UK based snack company and although working in the food industry gave me a real insight into the power of food labelling and marketing of products, I decided I wanted to switch my career to something I am passionate about ...exercise and nutrition and that is why I am now at UFIT!

My own training involves both endurance and strength training, but my goal is to be healthy in all senses of the word - it’s all about the mind-body balance!

As a trainer I really want to get to know my clients, understand what motivates them so that I can tailor-make their programmes accordingly and help them achieve their goals.

The thing I enjoy most about working with my clients is being part of their fitness and health improvement journey and helping them achieve their goals whilst having fun in the process.  I want to make a difference to my clients lives, hopefully helping them achieve a long term change and maybe even achieve something they didn’t initially believe they could.

Who is your biggest inspiration: My grandmother - moving to a new country when she was 21 when the internet and mobiles didn’t exist - fearless!

Go-to workout music: An eclectic mix...depends on my mood :)

Favourite cheat meal: Chocolate and peanut butter lava cake... with strawberries (to make it healthy of course!)

Your unknown talent: Used to be a grade 5 standard Xylophone player…why my 12 year old self choose that instrument I don’t know ;)

Your biggest fear: Not achieving visiting 30 countries by the time I am 30...on track so far!

Best advice given to you: Don’t pass your friends through a sieve. No one is perfect.

Level 3 Certified Personal Trainer

Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr)  with the UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists (UKVRN)

Publish in the Scientific Journal Nutrients, paper entitled “On Your Own: Older Adult’s Food Choice and Dietary Habits”

MSc Nutrition (Distinction) from The University of Leeds (UK)

BSc Biology (1st class) from The University of Leeds (UK)
