The extension of the “Circuit Breaker” measures in Singapore means that we would be spending more time indoors and many of us would be working from home. This can feel like a struggle to many of us who are working towards your health and fitness goals. As you may have known, we have started our #1Month1Goal last week to help every one in our community with achieving their goals this month!
We hope everyone has chosen a goal that they are ready to commit to for this month. Are you ready to commit to your goal?
Let's go and kickstart week 1, here's what we have in store this week!
Monday: Fitness Challenge
Our goal in May is to help you achieve your goal and have fun at the same time! We will be launching a series of challenges over the month to help you find new limits and push them further. Be the fastest person to smash this week's challenge and win a bottle of Magnesium supplement from Bondi Vite and 30 UFIT credits (total prize worth over SGD 100)!
This week's challenge, for time (fastest time):
5 rounds of:
- 5 air squats
- 10 reverse lunges (each leg)
- 15 mountain climbers (each leg)

Tuesday: Free Virtual Class
To get you off to a flying start, join Wendy Riddell for a free BURN session on Tuesday at 6pm Singapore time to get your heart rate up and your sweat on. For those that haven’t tried our virtual sessions yet this will be a great way to get started. No equipment needed, just lots of water and a towel! Wednesday: Free Virtual Class
We love being active, and to continue to help you stay active during the midweek we are conducting yet another free class with Wendy Riddell lined up for you at 6pm. This time round, get your phones ready and check out our Instagram page for a live session.
Thursday: Free Nutrition webinar
Trying to keep your nutrition in check and putting the right foods into our body is no easy feat, Circuit Breaker or not. So, not to worry, our very own Emily Whitelock will be sharing "Nutrition on Lockdown - Make May Matter" at 4pm to help you with making the right food choices and keeping your health in check this month! Register here!
Over the weekend, our very own Peter Wright and some of the UFIT Team completed 1,000 push-ups within 2 hours in aid of Pieta House and the Irish Cancer Society; 2 charities helping people suffering from mental illnesses and cancer as their fundraising activities have been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions.
With more greatness to come, one of our clients Gavin Barnes has shared with us the goal that he has set for himself this month. He has set his sights on climbing the height of Mount Everest, from home, as he looks to ascend flights of stairs at his apartment building throughout the month to eventually match the vertical distance for the highest peak above sea level!
As you can see from the above video, he has started his challenge over the weekend and we look forward to hearing more from him!
