Generally I am not a fan of personal trainers because I have been training for many years to a decent standard and therefore find I do not need the motivation or in some cases limited knowledge demonstrated by most practitioners in Singapore. Dean however brings, in my opinion, many unique qualities to his sessions which make him second to none in his field. His knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation mean that not only can he design a program which is entirely suited to my training needs, but very importantly for those 40 something’s like myself, his program is designed to avoid picking up injuries or aggravating old niggles. In my case he has expertly taken account not only of my training requirements in terms of level of fitness, progressive performance and events I may be aiming for such as marathons and tri-athlons, but also my build, physiological strengths/weaknesses and past injuries. I would also add that through careful planning and design, no two sessions have been the same in the past 12 months that I’ve been attending his sessions. Of course Dean is also a very pleasant guy with a great disposition which makes him a pleasure to work with. Can’t wait for the next session!”

Alex’s creative exercises are so much better than standing in place and curling a bar 10 or 20 times. In the past, personal training for me had consisted of a trainer taking me to the dumbbell section of the gym, telling me what to do and counting the reps. Alex is a true teacher and goes above and beyond just encouraging his clients to do well, he has helped me to understand why I am doing well.
